Born from a desire to create a more caring, personal experience for moms in the hospital.
In my 21 years as a nurse, the wardrobe has not changed. The same uncomfortable gown is given to every person in the hospital, including birthing moms. It takes away your identity and labels you as a “patient” in need of intervention, not as a healthy, capable mother seeking support and guidance. I’ve always encouraged my patients to skip the hospital gown and wear what makes them feel comfortable, but most moms don’t pack a different option in their hospital bag. I decided to create the gown that I wish I had when I birthed my two sons. As a nurse, it’s the gown I want all my patients to wear.
“It’s not how you give birth, it’s how you’re cared for that matters.”
